Take your aim

Enjoy the morning or afternoon in an open sunflower or pea field loaded down with dove. Bring your own gun, shells, chairs, cooler and bird dog with you. A valid Texas hunting license, Texas migratory game bird endorsement, HIP certification and proof of Hunter Education is also required.

Hop in the airboat for a thrilling ride up the creek to aim for your limit of ducks. Due to hunting over the water, you will need steel shotgun shells for your trip. Migratory Game Bird Endorsement, HIP Certification and Federal Duck Stamp will also be required. 

Dinosaur hunting is what we call it around these parts. These giant birds with a wing span of up to 6.5 feet are known for their delicious breast meat, giving them the nickname "ribeye of the sky". In addition to the certifications required to duck hunt, you will also need to obtain a Federal Sandhill Crane Hunting Permit. These can be found for FREE on the TPWD website.
